Screams in my mind

I sat in a room, months later Unbeknownst to me And somehow -- His name was said....... My hands instantly went To my head In comfort Why.... Knowing what was coming Just knowing..... He listened contently Fought day and night Texted me daily He was supporting me Slowly Through one of lifes' Disasters -- I fell in love instantly.. And when it was finished I hang my head in shame -- I left.. And now there is a whisper As I sit here Listening to old music Thinking and wishing -- He was mine. And now I just hear faint Screams in my mind. Thanks for his support through Covid March 2020.
